What is the pace in riding trips?

Usually when on a riding trip, the guides mostly walk on a fast pace because the terrain is very varied from ups and downs to open fields. We don´t have that strict rules on the trails for example, everyone doesn’t have to stay behind the guides or in a formal order. If you want to canter, we will show you the perfect places to do so and there are many open and straight places suitable for cantering.

Can I participate eventough I have never ridden before?

We recommend our trails for medium-advanced to experienced riders who are capable to control a spirited, well-fed, horse. All our horses are very well trained and experienced in the fields and they do not get scared easily. Some of the horses are less energetic than the others but mainly they are not for people who have never gotten on a horse. We can arrange short rides for people who have never been on a horse. All beginners should pay for a private wrangler who is there at all times to attend and help you with the horse.

What type of riding gear do you recommend?

We recommend riding boots or similar, jeans or riding pants, lots of layer (coat, shirts and other) because the terrain is very varied, it can be chilly in the woods and hot in the open areas where the sun shines without any shade. We highly recommend using a sombrero or a helmet (can be borrowed at the Ranch). Sunscreen lotion is also very important.

What is the distance to the nearest airport?

38 kilometers (23 miles) and normally about 45 minutes. When it is holiday season or rush-hour, the transfer can take up to 1.5 to 2 hours. We offer transportation from the Mexico City airport (or other meeting point at the capital-area) to our clients for 50 USD/car.
